After completing the quest you will gain a basic "Mass Produced Steamrider". This Steamrider has no special features, but can be driven around, making you move slightly faster. Using the Steamrider will slowly drain your NeoSteam tank and can only be used outside of a town.
The good news is that it can be upgraded. By talking to one of the "Craft" NPCs at the manufacturing area of a town, for 150,000 gold, you can upgrade it to a "Mine Rider".
A Mine Rider is a specialised level 20 steamrider that allows you to mine certain minerals, such as the crystals outside of Ganedine Town in Rogwell (near the coordinates 54322, 10091 as shown in the picture above). Talking to the NPC near a mining spot will allow you to find out where the other minable areas are.
